the unmuted room reverberations, and the heavy thumb thumps on flatwound strings. 

FUNK AFTER DEATH was cut entirely live to two-inch 16-track tape at Nightshift
Studios over three midnight sessions in Chicago. No MIDI clocks were utilized. 
No notes were tuned in post-production. If a note cracked, it stayed on the master.
